It’s interesting how the top of the taillight is attached to the top of the trunk lid. Is it like that on sedans too? Or does the vert have its own tails?

The S40, the sedan relative of the C70, has unique taillights. I think they just wanted to keep the typical Volvo “shoulder” style going through the taillights as it apes the shape of the body line all the way down the vehicle.
